But they played for the hopeless manager when he got us fourth, 72 points ( which is a PL record for us in case you didn’t know ) a cup semi final and a record number of home wins.
So if they played for him that season why did they stop.
The played for the Dutch golfer for 1 season and got 7th and beat City 4-0 and qualified for Europe after 2 mid table finishes
So why did they stop playing for him in his second season.
Maybe they copped on to both managers and called them out.
They gave managers a fair chance and when the managers proved they weren’t up for it they stopped playing
Maybe they felt like they'd proven they could adapt and then they thought: "nah, dont fancy this anymore....Martinez wants us to get better and Koeman is stopping us getting our nose bags until he and his coaches finish theirs"?

Who knows what goes on in the minds of a bunch of refuseniks?

There's defo a root mentality problem in our team. I have many gripes about Silva, but I'm not sure any manager could sort our lot out at the moment.

Don't understand all the upset here.

A) Could we hire someone better with where we are at the moment?
B) He will be working with someone who is meant to be a respected and successful DoF (may not prove to be so here but there are no guaranteed successes and is certainly better than having my old PE teacher doing it).
C) He turned around far worse teams than us pretty quickly.
D) At those clubs he was not there for a huge amount of time. I hope, if we were playing good football and showing instant signs of improvement, you lot won't be calling for a young manager's head for having a win percentage in the 30s. Like it or not, an appointment like this needs to be given time.
E) He has actually won stuff in a brief managerial career. Can't ask for him to have done much more than he has in so short a career!
It's a question of did we even try?

I'm not convinced we did. This has been Moshiri's target, not Brands' regardless of what people want to speculate, since last October.

Either way he's coming in now so he's ours for better or worse and we best get on with it.

The point is Dave they weren’t refuseniks.
They performed well in the first season with each manager.
Bobbys inability to organise a defence cost him and Koeman inability to replace Lukaku cost him.

I don't think so. It's almost like they're sticking with Silva as a sort of apology for getting him fired from Watford. I thought with the new info we've had on him since January, we'd at least consider other candidates, but I've never gotten the sense that that's the case
That's how I see it.

Not been a serious whisper of his even sniffing at anyone else since Fonseca signed his contract and even him I don't believe we approached tbh.

2013/14 season with Estoril - conceded 26 goals in 34 games

Fffs, Estoril sounds like the kind of stuff my granny used to get addicted to. His track record in Portugal is, relatively speaking, a long time ago and utterly irrelevant. There wasn't much he could do about Hull, but his stint with Watford is worrying imo
