Think that will only happen with Moyes tbh mate. I imagine Spurs had been in talks with Jose for days if not weeks beforehand.

Considering our board are like a deer in the headlights - any new manager outside of an interim will now need to be approached and a deal whacked on the table etc. Which will take around a week or so to get done - just in time for either the midweek derby game or a fortnights time with Chelsea at Goodison with the fans behind the new bloke.
Shows you the different levels of our board to Spurs. Just a few years ago we where on par with them fighting for 5th.

Daft as it sounds they should have sacked him at half time. That ,at least, would have been a statement of what's acceptable Everton
That would have been cool. Or maybe once he made no subs at half time put a copy of his P45 on the big screens and make a second Operation Goodison Exercise announcement, "Can Marco Silva please make himself known to the nearest steward".

If he goes Pochetino is the man. If not Benitez,if he is available, get him back from China.Watched highlights on MOTD my mum will be rolling in her grave watching some of that tackling for their goal.I think going back to Moyes would be a mistake.

There is nothing wrong with appointing a caretaker for a couple of games.

It's only a problem when it ends up taking 6 weeks to find the new boss.

There is no logical explanation for keeping him unless we genuinely don't think we can get a new manager in place within a fortnight or so.

There lies the problem, Moshiri got burnt by the fact that it took 38 days to replace Koeman and doesn’t want to go through that again so either we have an interim lined up and we sack Marco today or tomorrow or we negotiate with a permanent option through the week and boot Silva next weekend

Well there is, as we won’t win any of them with a caretaker manager, and again the board never have a plan B ever.

After we’ve lost again? Just do it now if we’re waiting till after the next few games, the position will be worse.
