Well yes, but how do we know Cahill is even competent at coaching? We complain about the "jobs for the boys" attitude, decry Arteta as not good enough becuase, whilst he may have a pro license and have been Guardiola's assistant, he's never had a managers job... Then a load of us cry out for Cahill on the basis that he was boss as a player.

Tbf my only motivation for getting Cahill in was that he might use Schneiderlin as a corner flag

I tend to agree. I think the spurs board had probably decided he was getting the push weeks prior but where waiting until everything was in place. Why else would the sack him in the second week of the international break
