koff with the unfair on silva shouts, the feller is getting paid abar 70k a week to be a failure

he's gonna get sacked from a job he is totally out of his depth at and get millions for it

the feller deserves no sympathy what so ever
You can still feel sorry for him though. Getting a payout doesn't make him immune to basic human emotions, and this will be a difficult time for him clearly. It shouldn't stop the club from taking whatever action they need to take, but I feel sorry for him as a bloke who seems a fairly decent sort, and who I have no doubt is doing his absolute best. The fact that we've given him a job he may not be up to doesn't make me despise him.

I think they're terrified by the sort of realistic shortlist of candidates they can put together and the potentially enormously serious ramifications of getting it wrong again.

I have also read it suggested that none of Brands' targets are available currently and therefore there is no desire for change on his part if he has to recommend "settling" for someone else. There is some logic to that admittedly but it doesn't leave anyone, including him, in a good light overall.

It would hardly have been a huge stretch of the imagination to forsee this very scenario unfolding.

And I think appointing a more "horses for courses" candidate is made more difficult after Allardyce - nobody credible will accept a six-month deal knowing they have the club over a barrel if they want to sack Silva now.

Perhaps they could make a permanent offer conditional on certain targets being met first but that will only further muddy the waters as far as timings go.

It is a mess and one of their own making. This is what happens when there is an absence of leadership at executive level and clear delegation.

If we employ Moyes or the like, Brands might as well pack his bags . Moyes won't work with a DOF and if Brands is saying none of his targets are available, he has a very unambitious list. Again, if we employ Moyes or similar, does that mean 'the project' has been cancelled?

Because they are incompetent fools who have once again failed to plan for the manager not working out.
With Koeman they let that drag on miles to long, in the end unsworth came in. Why can’t they just do that again, even temporary. Unsworth can’t do any worse. I’m also sure the players will try much harder for him too. Imo Silva has lost them now.

After the next 2 games there is the distinct possibility of us being in the bottom 3. If that happens it gives moshiri and co an excuse to install a no mark interim manager as opposed to a long term replacement. Yet more short sightedness and sheer incompetence from our joke of a board. They haven't got a fecking clue.

nar not having that at all, I feel sorry for people who lose their job and have mortgages and bills to pay for and are going to be stuck for cash

this feller cannot do a job he is paid VERY handsomely for and will lose and get millions in the process, I don't despise him in the slightest but I refuse to have sympathy for someone who is going to make an absolute fortune for being rubbish at their job

it's like me conning a job in NASA and then after a while they realise I actually don't have a clue what I am doing they sack me and give me millions for their mistake, do I get sympathy?

The fans did the same with Martinez,ok not the right man for the job call him for that but no need for the personal hatred towards him as he has tried his best and always come and out and praised us supporters.hes a nice fella, yea he needs to go but I’m
Pretty sure this is Isn’t nice for him mentally no matter how much money he has.same thing happens to him at sporting Lisbon they got rid of him when a better manager was available but made some blag story about him not wearing the club suit.his confidence will be shot right now
