The fact the board have allowed this situation to go on this long, tells me everything.

They should have acted after Sheff UTD. "3 games to save his job" sound, see you later Marco, no hard feelings but youre not unto the challenge.

Once again, the board are putting themselves in the spotlight for the poor running of the club.

It wouldn't surprise me if the board have reasoned that the unexpected away win at Southampton offsets the home defeat to Norwich, and so he's still on course to avoid relegation. The fact that the next two games are away also means that both they and Silva will be safe from the supporters, and they'll be hoping that something miraculous happens at Anfield which will get them back onside.

I'm beginning to think that going down is a very real possibility now.

Oh my god...

The report goes on to claim that because Moshiri and Brands both played a key part in bringing the 42-year-old to the club, it has given him more time to fix their issues than he otherwise would have.

Erm... Brands was hired after Silva. File under J for Jarg.

Imagine a club willing to lose more games before replacing him.

Or one that is hoping a rare win against a team better than us is justification to keep a manager losing every other game .

Do they not understand how a season works, and what happens when you run out of games to win?

Leave him in charge for the game on Sunday, let us get absolute smashed to bits to help Leicester keep up the much needed pressure at the top of the table, then bring in the new manager Monday morning and give him a couple of days to prepare for the derby and to get the full effect of the "new manager bounce" against them, à la Joe Royle 1994.

I think the fact that a lot of clubs are playing abysmally at the moment is the only comfort on the relegation front.
