2019/20 Marco Silva

He's just not that good, that's why.
I'm not a big fan of Gomes either, both seem to be highly thought of by Everton fans.

Nor me, mate. I can understand it, when you've not got much to shout about, you latch on to anything.

It's the same with Mina and, to an extent, Digne. Silva hasn't done well enough and we should 100% expect more. Under another manager, we can expect to be top half but, fundamentally, we're a very limited team as it is.

5 year project required, recycle the full team and aim for europa league at the new stadium.

Sure, I get that Playing for one of the probably best managers in the world would increase the motivation of the players but does that mean that it’s ok for them to not even try when playing for an average manager. They are absolute gobshites.
nO MATE, THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALLERS AND PROUD OF WHAT THEY DO. tHEY ARE NOT WALKING AROUND OR NOT BOTHERING (stupid caps lock), they are just demotivated by bad managment, unsure of what they are meant to be doing or lacking in leadership.

Like I say, they will all play well again in the future be it at Everton or elsewhere but under a better manager. They o not wish to be having bad games, losing or getting abuse from the fans.

If a team is struggling they sack the manager every time and, the team then tends (not always if the new manager is crap also) to do better under the new manager.

I'm by no means a Silva fan, I never wanted him at this club to begin with but the way this club has treated him in the last week is noting short of a disgrace.

The total lack of dignity from the people at the top of Everton is shameful.

Fair enough.

I can guarantee you all of our players would play better under a better manager.
I think Harry Kane would struggle to score goals for us at the moment.

It is a team game, each section of the team depends on the others to do their jobs.
To score goals you need chances to be created first, we are not creating the chances to score or to be missed.
Our defence is conceding goals but you have to look at the parts played by our midfield and our forwards as well.

Look at how hard the players in the top teams work, look at the amount of ground they cover, I think we would fare badly compared to them.
That is the role of the manager and his coaches.

Were already in the stages of a 5 season plan.

Years 1-4 clear out the dross and build a squad, year 5 sign 2 players a season. Brands has been quoted saying this will happen in summer 4 or 5.

We have had 2 summers only.

No one knows how good certain players can become in the team as they are playing next to dross.

Keane, Sigurdsson, Schneiderlin, Coleman, Walcott...5 players have got a lot of game time this season...

They (and others) will be replaced during this 5 year plan.

Why, what did the club do so bad?
Not a word from them all week. They haven't sacked Silva but they won't say one public word to back him. They've left him in an awful position. How is he supposed to even stand a chance with that hanging over his head. They've kept a dead man walking around as manager who they have no intention of keeping because they're to gutless and disorganised to replace him now. Their attitude is disrespectful to both Silva and us fans.

Our players generally cover as much ground as any other. Aside from Vardy and similar. Even then, Digne, Bernard, Richie, Gylfie work very hard for the team. It is the whole team that is struggling which, as you say is down to the manager.

That is all we are told but I am confident Silva knows what is happening.

Bernard has some huge faults in his game, not least his weighting of the final pass. But what he always gives is energy and effort, two things we are desperately short of at the moment.

Can’t disagree with you. They will sack him after the next 2 games go tits up which will probably will happen. The players know it and silva does. Don’t get me wrong I want to win next games and I hope we do. But has been handled poorly by the the club. Leaving it till Tuesday to make any Statement whatsoever, when the speculation was coming straight after the game that he has been sacked or looking to be replaced. They haven’t backed him just said he is in charge hahah. As you said it’s wrong on silva and the players even tho they are to blame also but most importantly us fans getting left in the dark.

theres enough in that team whereby we should be playing a hell of a lot better. I agree that those listed shouldn’t be playing, but they are on the decision of the manager

he’s either to scared to challenge them or to scared to back his own plans (formation and style).

something goes wrong and he instantly goes back to “throw the senior players in and they’ll get me a result” even though every fan in the ground knew a poor performance was on the horizon against Norwich because of that selection.

I’ve said it before, he should be stamping his authority of that team and not shoehorning people in and changing his ways. If Walcott, Icelandic tit, French tit can’t do the job he demands, then they should be out of the team.

I really, really hope that this virtual sacking sends a rocket up his arse and he goes in and is ruthless to every player. Unfortunately he won’t
