I think we may see stories about Eddie Howe starting to surface more frequently now , of course that does depend on Howe being interested in taking the job.
Everton by any standards is a big job, our current position in the table does reflect the size of the club, just the way it is being run.

Eddie Howe would be another huge gamble.

He reminds me of David Moyes at us, spent so long at one team, been afforded the time to build his own team, minimum expectations from their owners and fans alike, can get the best out of average players, well respected by media etc...etc... when it comes to taking on a club with a completely different mind set on matters and expectations are increased tenfold, dealing with a different standard of player, afforded less time, in front of a bigger crowd it becomes a different ball game as David Moyes found out when he left us for Man Utd.

I wouldn’t touch Howe. In my honest opinion for me doing for someone like him is setting ourselves up for more failure. Investing in managers who have done little or have no credible experience to manage a club with our expectations is just asking for trouble.

As I've said before, Howe is nothing like his happy chappie public persona when he's dealing with his players. He's ruthless.
If he hadn't signed those two jarg players from RS I would be all for him.

Just got home to find he is still in the job. Not only is Silva an embarrassment to our club, but now the board are just as big an embarrassment also. Time to do their jobs properly and sack this loser before the unthinkable becomes reality.

A gamble no doubt, but I think that the managers who come with a greatly reduced risk probably won't come to us anyway.

I think we also need to realise that managers learn and improve. I did not rate Brendan Rogers but I must admit he has become a very good manager and has learned and improved from his experiences with Liverpool and Celtic.

Eddie Howe has done a good job at Bournemouth and has turned them into a solid Premiership team . He has been given money to spend at Bournemouth but relatively speaking not huge amounts and sometimes when your resources are limited you are forced to take chances with signing players which do not always work. He would not be my first pick but would be far less of a risk than Marco Silva ever was.

What we don't know about Howe is exactly how far he could take a club like Everton, the same is true of Dyche at Burnley.
