His career highlights, Olympiakos and being the Portuguese Eddie Howe.

All the credentials of a top manager.

This is the bigger picture here.

How the frig can a Premier League club with millions to spend and ambitions of becoming a Champions League hopeful club opt to appoint a manager who’s biggest feat was winning a title in a corrupt Greek league with players less talented than you find in the SPL?

It’s one of the worst decisions made by any football club, certainly in the history of our football club with the record to match.

hahaha

well, i meant it's all in the eye of the beholder...of course we want to see our club as big as our history is so rich. But currently we're not objectively a big club, relatively-speaking (English clubs are all quite big globally, but in Prem terms we're barely scraping top 10...that's mid-table in bigness).

Big defined in terms of: size of crowds, amount of world-wide fans, recent successes, class of sponsor, able to attract big-name players/managers...etc

No, we're not a big club.
Agree to disagree then.

The thrashing I expected the capitialation I expected. A manager who isn't up to the job kept in place by a board sticking their heads in the sand and hoping things will change. But going against the two best teams in the country with a man who can't inspire or organise a injury-ravaged gutless squad was always going to be disastrous. They were digging us into an even bigger hole. He has to go he has to go now. It's way beyond time. We have a big struggle on this season to stay up.

The board wanted to try and maintain more stability at the club, fair enough, but we could all see where this was going weeks if not months ago and the board have failed to be proactive. Zero confidence they’ll go out and bring in a top class replacement, no idea why, we can offer a big wage and money to to spend on transfers but the board have no ambition beyond premier league subsistence.

He’s been let down too TBF, we all knew the team was crying out for a proven top goal scorer, he was given Kean who is potential.
We knew we needed a centre half and never got one
Brands needs to hold his hands up
saying that, he’s still a crap manager
To an extent but he also isn't up to the job. Look at our results after the derby last year until about February.
