Yeah, to be fair I'm certainly not ruling out relegation. How long can a club realistically be managed in the way we have and survive? And think about it. At the moment we have a goalkeeper who is making too many mistakes, a defence that leaks too many goals and switches off at key moments in the game, a midfield that is lacking some of its most important players i.e Gomes, Gab, Delph and just lets teams run straight through it. Oh, and we have a lack of goal scorers. We have lost to all the promoted sides 2-0 and can't come from behind. Our away form is the pits.

It'll catch up with us eventually.

A "back to basics" approach from a guy like Moyes (Man-To-Man Marking, endeavour, 442 etc) could potentially avoid relegation, but then we're stuck right back where we were previously, with a manager who can't kick us on who eventually gets sacked for the next flavour of the month, at which point we repeat the whole process

It's a gigantic mess, all of Moshiri's doing because he insisted on going for Silva, even though there were perfectly legitimate reasons to look at his record at the likes of Hull and Watford and decide not to make the appointment

I feel bad for Silva, he's done his best in a job he shouldn't have had to begin with. It's Moshiri where my wrath will be directed

Probably because regardless of how good or bad someone is at their job you shouldn't just abandon empathy or human kindness, especially if they're doing the best they can to make it work

There's a way to sack someone the right way, with consideration and respect, and we're not that here

This all fits in with the clueless, classless and slapdash approach that Farhad Moshiri has brought to his role though, so I shouldn't really be surprised

Hahaha, how would nice guy Mikey sack somebody then?

What a farce of a post.

Cheers fam. So they picked up more points in the second half of the season than the first and the two halves didn’t exactly mirror each other? That’s reassured me a bit.

Stats are purely an indicator. Nobody is suggesting we're going to be consistent. In fact the one thing consistent about us has always been our inconsistency.

Of course we can improve. We can also get worse. I don't think this is the nadir for us. It will probably get worse before it gets better.

There's an entirely plausible, realistic situation whereby we exit both cups and pick up a couple of points in the next 6 games.

In which case, our run rate drops to 28 points.

Don't understand why Moshiri had to be there. Don't we have a Chairman, a CEO , and a Director of Football? If they can't handle a meeting with the manager what are they there for?
Hopefully it's because Moshiri was the one who advocates for bringing Silva in and feels like he wants to deliver the news in person.

I hope Moyes comes til the end of the season, all the moaners refuse to renew their season tickets, we’ll still finish top half, and then hopefully I can get my ST back at the end of the season. I gave it up when Marco came, not for that reason, but thankfully I did.
