2019/20 Marco Silva

A "back to basics" approach from a guy like Moyes (Man-To-Man Marking, endeavour, 442 etc) could potentially avoid relegation, but then we're stuck right back where we were previously, with a manager who can't kick us on who eventually gets sacked for the next flavour of the month, at which point we repeat the whole process

It's a gigantic mess, all of Moshiri's doing because he insisted on going for Silva, even though there were perfectly legitimate reasons to look at his record at the likes of Hull and Watford and decide not to make the appointment

I feel bad for Silva, he's done his best in a job he shouldn't have had to begin with. It's Moshiri where my wrath will be directed

I know what you're saying, but the compensation for failing will take the edge off

Mikey out here with the 12 year old insults! Love it, keep up the good work.

In a bit Marco, you were out of your depth. In the words of Homer Simpson "You tried your best and failed miserably, the lesson is, never try".

I'm not going to properly insult him am I? I just picture his little face now, with a tear welling up in his eye. I couldn't do that to him

Anyway, I don't fancy getting told off for going off topic, Marco Silva eh?

Probably because regardless of how good or bad someone is at their job you shouldn't just abandon empathy or human kindness, especially if they're doing the best they can to make it work

There's a way to sack someone the right way, with consideration and respect, and we're not that here

This all fits in with the clueless, classless and slapdash approach that Farhad Moshiri has brought to his role though, so I shouldn't really be surprised

This is part of the ongoing problem with the club. The 'Everton way'. It's pathetic. Total lack of ruthlessness both on and off the pitch. It's why we don't complete seriously and havent done for decades. Compare and contrast with successful clubs. You can be all those things you mention but they shouldn't be the priority in this business. And if they are, well, this is what you get.
