What happens if he didn’t want to come here? Or we weren’t interested in him?

I dont think we ever were in for him mate - but that in itself is baffling when we have two quality crossers of the ball in Digne and Siggurdsson - why pass up the chance to sign a mobile yet physical centre forward who can score with both feet and head and makes good runs into the box?

Instead we sign a 19 year old kid when our only other options are DCL and Tosun both proven to not be good enough.

It was absolutely daft and has put us back to square one as last season needing a proven goalscorer.

I sont rate Silva nor his tactics/defensive coaching which imo are poor but in terms up upfront options he has been failed in two transfer windows by Brands imo.

Anyone who signs for West ham would be interested in everton.

The fact we weren't interested in a big strong target man, when all we do is hoof crosses, shows that we have no thought process to recruitment.

Brands signing players is fine. But they don't fit this woeful system we play. Either we sign target men number 9s or Brands gets his own manager in. The current status quo is a bit of a mess.

Says who? Maybe he prefers London to the north west. 2 average teams, both prepared to treble his wages. Not a choice between City and Bournemouth

If the manager played a progressive 433 with pace and directness we wouldn’t need haller

And our attacking players just cracked off a few shots.. and we would be fine.

I really like Iwobi, but we're Everton.. Not arsenal. We don't walk it in.. have a dig lad !

Tom Davies rave reviews playing in the midfield defensive role,so we play slow coach who got booked as per usual...our defence got zero protection today oh and they wee far too fast upfront for us their manager had done his homework.

Thats what concerns me. We are so easy to read.
Look at the match thread today when the team was announced. Piss taking gifs of bournemouth players and manager celebrating. Far to accurate than funny.
Everton rolling into town is becoming far to easy.

No I won’t I’m asking who you want

Depends on how ambitious the club want to be. Based on recent spend, Mourinho and Allegri shouldn’t be immediately ruled out.

Howe, Spalletti, Wenger, Blanc, Marcelino, Van Bronckhorst and Tedesco would all be ones i’d look at too.

Bet Richarlison got bollocked for having that shot that hit the bar, in that area of the pitch he’s supposed to pass out to the flank so it can aimlessly crossed in. Only to be cleared.

We will rinse and repeat this play until the game ends

“What if” this and “what if” that.

If he didn’t want to come, you use the team of scouts you have at your disposal and, based on the two years advance warning of of poor forward play we’ve shown, you go and find another striker proven at the top level, domestically and in Europe, with a far greater chance of coming in and hitting the ground running.

What you don’t do is pay big money for a completely unproven 19 year old kid and inevitably (albeit indirectly) lump all the goalscoring responsibility on him.

It was a bad decision. It’s one that Silva will eventually take the fall for, but Brands isn’t blameless - people seem to pick and choose what aspect of the club he has a hand in and what he doesn’t to suit their agenda.
