Said it at the time he was appointed. What did Silva have on his CV that that the hierarchy at the club thought would take us to the next level.

I just dont know. Im presuming they never wrote it down on the back of a fag box over a pint. Because you wouldnt sit down in a serious meeting and say who has a good track record and come up with silva.

I was watching Siggy intently.
I'd had a few bob on him having 2 shots on target in the game.
I was as surprised as he was when his number went up.

As we were early at the game I watched the warm ups from the sidelines.
Digne went through his crossing drills and everytime he crossed to Siggy he buried it.
Yet in game time, Siggy wasn't making the runs.

Dignes delivery is piss takingly good and a Tim Cahill type midfielder ghosting in would have a bloody field day.

Which is why we were dying out for the Sebastian Haller signing. We cross it all the time. But passed up on him to sign a kid. It snacks of no plan.

He's right today. Every time the cameras looked at Silva he was staring at his bootlaces. I've no idea what he was doing.

Would be hounding if Silva wasn't slouched in his chair sulking for the last 10 minutes.

People who say "Silva will come good" is exactly the sort of throwaway comment that Coleen must say justifying taking Wayne back the 50 billionth time.

There is no past evidence to back the statement up its just a coping mechanism.

The sad thing is we are on for yet another 8-11th season.

No way are we finishing above either Leicester or West Ham never mind Chelsea and Utd.

Fuming with yet another wasted season on the cards.

That's got to be the most confusing excuse I've heard today. So even if he's right that Silva is a bad motivator when they go down, his other complaints make it invalid?

Yep - signing Kean over Haller has massively concerned me with Brands - smacks of him doing his mate Raoila a favour to grease the wheels rather than getting in a much needed proven striker.

Anyone who signs for West ham would be interested in everton.

The fact we weren't interested in a big strong target man, when all we do is hoof crosses, shows that we have no thought process to recruitment.

Brands signing players is fine. But they don't fit this woeful system we play. Either we sign target men number 9s or Brands gets his own manager in. The current status quo is a bit of a mess.

Then continued warming up Pickford, and genuinely put in some of the best dangerous corners you will see.
