These arn't tough decisions. I dont think tactical or personnel changes will alter results to almost any degree.

There is little between iwobi/bernard or dcl/kean on current showing. Sigu is a luxury, defensive liability but he will get you vital goals. Any manager would have him around. You cant keep fingers crossed about fitness - you need to plan for the worst case.

Silva knew he was probably doomed the moment the transfer window closed. Even he wont be surprised at our results,

1) Your third and fourth sentences are exactly why they are tough decisions.

2) We arguably haven't planned properly and that's why we now have to cross fingers.

3) You're probably right about Silva being doomed.

He is not getting anywhere near the standard expected with the quality of players he has at his disposal. I've backed Marco from day one and will give him until mid-November to turn things around. We have really difficult fixtures in December and that worries me.

Do I think he will turn it around in the next 6 weeks? I'm almost certain he will not. I believe another defeat next week to Burnley will be it for him. A draw might get him another game.

If he is not sacked that’s tell you how ambitious the board is. We’re 15th after spending loads to buy players. We need a proven manager with records to show he’s capable to achieve great things.

And that may happen next season.

We can't be firing managers mid way through seasons.

Yes we can. In fact we need to.

Klopp came in mid season.

Rodgers came in mid season.

Southampton got Potchetinno mid season.

We got moyes mid season.

I could go on for a while here....

It's really not a problem unless you're worried about media perception. I just want to see a team set up in a way where we can win a few games and aren't more open than Holloways Blackpool.

All this counts for nothing, it is goals that win games not possession or breaking away that is where our failure lies and for me that is Silva's system. It did not work in the other PL clubs he was at.

Yeah, no, all the tactics in the world won’t make a Scnedierlin or DCL into a Jesus or KDB, the difference yesterday was the contrast in the quality of players.

We competed well they have an abundance of quality and it was telling in key positions.

All to finish midtable.
Porch jumped ship after 1 season
Moyes got 10 years after his appointment and struggled to begin with
Klopp was out of management and one of the top managers around.
Rodgers...if you mean Leicester...again done what exactly? Oh right finish midtable.

Not worried about media perception at all. I just find it pointless to get rid of him half way through a season when there's zero threat or crisis apart from it being disappointing.

The point is exactly what I'm saying.

Those teams got rid of underachieving managers and went out and got the right man mid season. Of course it doesn't mean they will magically win every game and end up top 4 during that season.

But it sure gives you a much bigger chance of success the following year, than having to scramble frantically in preseason to find a manager, organise a transfer policy and implement a playing style.

We are already in crisis after getting a ridiculous 7 points for the favourable fixtures we have. If he loses next week he will be gone. There is no sentiment here.

Our fanbase loves a good transition season
