If he is not sacked that’s tell you how ambitious the board is. We’re 15th after spending loads to buy players. We need a proven manager with records to show he’s capable to achieve great things.
Had this conversation yesterday doesn't matter how many good players we buy if we haven't got a quality manager.

They are all a gamble. He is a succesful assistant to the very best. His credentials are very different to the people you quote. I made it clear that his Everton link is nothing to do with it
Why not suggest every assistant to every top class manager currently in a job?

Ridiculous.

I’d argue that we were remarkably lucky with injuries last year, which is not often the case for our managers (Koeman lost Coleman who was probably the most impactful player in his side the year before).

So if you are going to excuse Silva for injuries, you have to excuse Koeman as well. I don’t excuse either. And it’s not like we lost Rcicharlison and Digne. We lost a midfielder who is inconsistent and a midfielder that is still learning the league. Hardly an excuse.

The team will always like playing under Silva, I don't think that will ever change.
The problem is his tactics aren't good enough and he doesn't learn.

There's 11 players on the pitch with no organisation what so ever that's been evident from day one, and we can't hide behind the "we have no money" excuse anymore.
His tactics will get some good results against the top 6 no doubt, but overall over the course of the season the results won't be good enough.
Drunk?
`the team will always enjoy playing under silva' then `theres no organisation'.
Lol - you reckon our players are like 6year olds, enjoy running around anywhere.

Its a poor squad for the money spent completely reliant on our young players improving dramatically which isn’t that realistic. Davies has probably hit his level, DCL still promising but relies heavily on raw pace which he we lose technically probably won’t improve much, Moise Kean who knows really? has already had more opportunity than some previously lambasted youngsters who are now flourishing abroad but time is needed, Kenny will make a steady modern RB. Pickford seems to be declining.

Hope seems to be with the likes of Gibson and Gordon already :pint2:

A squad of Pickford, Digne, Mina, Schneiderlin, Delph, Sigurdsson, Iwobi, Bernard, Gomes, Richarlison, Kean isn't poor. That is some oaf quality. It's mismanagement.

Pickford is poor. Mina is playing poorly. Scneid is a poor rat. Sig has been poor for ages. Bernard/Gomes lack any physicality and are poor away from home. Kean has looked poor so far but probably isnt.

Koeman lost Coleman and decided it would be a good idea to replace him with a person that couldn’t kick a football.
