How do we know that about Gbamin? He played against palace and looked like he was struggling with the pace. Which is fair enough.
But its very optimistic to think he will come in and solve any issues there.
True, we don't know about Gbamin...thats kinda my point. Get him playing and upto speed....if were still no better, Well he's had a shot at it and I wont argue the toss...but I want to at least see him have his shot.

If we lost to Burnley that would be 5 lost out of our last 6 games, I'd be absolutely shocked if Moshiri stuck with him.
This squad with them fixtures we had should not be potentially losing 5 games on the trot, That said if we win it would give us some breathing space and would 100% buy Silva more time whether you think its right or not, I'd personally keep for this season and bin him off unless it gets to Koeman levels. His contract runs out in June 2021 so I don't think we would lose out on too much.

This is koeman levels. The season koeman got sacked, he had 7 points from 7 games, the same as silva. He lasted 2 more games were we won 1 and lost the other so had 10 points. The difference is, he had played 4 of the previous years top 6. Silva has only played 1 of them.

Forgot Koeman got sacked in October thought it was later than that, Oh yeah he's a goner then if he loses against Burnley.

I’d say so yeah, for the time being, otherwise he’d be getting sacked this week. It’s a results game and 4 defeats in a row and in the relegation zone is a run of results that costs managers their job.

Either Marcel Brands thinks he's the right manager, or he isn't.

You don't base that opinion on one football match.

Brands made the decision last season to stick - If the club are thinking of sacking another manager less than 10 games into a season again, then that's poor from Marcel Brands.

He’s shown he can’t cut it. We’re worse than when fat Sam was there. He’s spent a fortune and can’t get a tune out of them.

Lose to burnley and he has to go. Preferably at the final whistle.

Allardyce would`ve put a bank of nine players behind the ball at all times, occasionally the ball would`ve been lumped up to the centre forward and played for a draw.

That happened every game by the way, not just when playing the likes of City.

Stop being silly.

Maybe Brands doesn’t think he’s the right manager, and this run of results is the confirmation he needs to pull the trigger. Either way, results are what get managers sacked and this run of results, if it continues, is getting Silva the sack.

It’s not just going to be judged on a game by game basis I’m sure.

They would of had some kind of matrix in place to what they see as success or failure at this point in the season.

Let’s be honest, if we lose to Burnley then this is his second, absolutely abysmal run of form since being in charge. After last seasons December to Whenever collapse, we can’t keep doing this.

Not sure why any fans would give him any more grace. He bought himself some more time with the end of season form, but that’s not going to last forever.

It would be completely insane for anybody to suggest he shouldn’t be at that point. Especially when they were so adamant about Koeman going with similar results.

Not comparable IMO.

Koeman had mitigating circumstances - as I put here.

Thing is, he was just a prick and fans generally couldn't take to him. I never thought he should have been appointed - he got the job based on 'doing alright' at Southampton. Amazing.

My own opinion on Marco Silva;
  • Was pleased the club demonstrated some long term thinking - something I think we've lacked under Moshiri. The club identified him as their man, and weren't discouraged by a downturn in form at Watford.
  • Was concerned when Farhad Moshiri said Silva was a gamble. Given the determination to get him, I'd have thought they'd have done some good homework and really thought this fella was the business. Describing him as a gamble just didn't sit right.
  • Concerning Brands was brought in after Silva was lined up.
  • Millwall result should have sealed his fate. At that point, in my opinion, the club should have been lining up a replacement to come in either immediately or on the final whistle of the end of the season.
  • Everton won't compete (trophy/europe regularly) until we bring in a manager with some actual top credentials - Moyes, Martinez, Koeman, Allardyce, Silva. Why are we surprised none of these can do what they've never done before?
