Formation for one.
There are options. Ive never said I have the answer at all. However having a manager that refuse to make adjustments of any kind expecting things to change is beyond aggravating.

I’m not going to get into a tit for tat with suggesting a line up. I’m sure my amateur ideas on tactics and formation would be rippled to shreds with this group.

Bottom line 8 weeks and we are still approaching every game I’m the same fashion with same poor results.

But that's my point. The formation change. He hasn't got the players to do it. To play three at back for example we need a top third centre half.

Gomes/Gbamin/Delph all not fit or injured this year.

Play two up top and your third choice is Tosun or Niasse who were being touted around Europe.

If fat sam had stayed we would of had summer signings of Tosun and Walcotts, we would have been steady but looking to improve, basically kicking the can down the road, for someone else to ship the crap out and start again in a few years

We currently have a squad of very good young talented players, the best in along time, for whatever reason they arnt playing well, is it tactics or motivation, the problem lies with Silva, if he can't fix it I'm sure a manager with a bit about him could get this team top 6 no problem

How do you know Sam couldn't have got the best out of Cenk? Did you see his finish at Stoke?

Ok you’ve won me over, we have no options.

It is what it is.

Let’s do it all over again in two weeks.

Absurd response, I know.

So is claiming we are handcuffed to playing any other formation than 4-2-3-1 and no other player combination.

For me I’ve tried to avoid the doom and gloom lingering around on here but coming out today with the same old lineup and same old tactics is enough for me.

No passion no drive no ambition

No thanks

Being considered as relegation candidates despite having the most generous starting fixture list and the money spent / squad we have is telling.

Heard the "we gave Howard time" shouts, which was before my time so I can't really comment, but cannot fathom the comparison.

The football is awful, no plan B - subs are like for like and despite somehow getting most shots against a Pep city team it was such an unconvincing performance.

Mourinhio said the modern day managers need to be enthusiastic etc, I find Silva lacks that as well as any sort of positive mentality - I see Lampard motivating his team on the touch line and having a bit of a personality (as well as a Mensa level IQ) so I'm sure he will do well.

Get rid and get someone in until the end of the season where we can find a good replacement.

I have zero faith in him now. Sack him and give me the job! I’ll work for £200 a week and he can disappear with a big pay off. I have no job experience whatsoever, but still reckon I could do a better job than Marco. We are terrible to watch at the moment. I believe we have some good players, but I am struggling to name any from today. Mina was the only one who came close imo. Marco needs to face up to how crap we are, but I don’t believe he thinks we are that bad! :/

City last week was all of those things though.

Pickford errors v Sheff Utd.
Keane n Mina v Bournemouth.
DCL/Siggy sitters missed v Villa.

Just saying "They're totally different" doesn't make it so. Tosun stands out like a sore thumb from that load of Forrest Gumps.

Formation changes? Yes, no argument.

They are. It's not like when Koeman bought 3 number 10s and no striker. Silva has players to use but doesn't. He also doesn't get the best out of what he's got.

Tosun doesn't have pace but his link up play is better than any of the forwards we have. He's also the best finisher. So...why don't we play to those strengths? No, because we have to play Sigurdson who doesn't do enough. Or Richarlison who's out of form.

We have DCL. Get crosses in. We don't.

We have Kean. Play him part of a front 3. We don't.

There's no way we're creating things and don't have a striker because we don't create.

If we were trying different things and it wasn't working, id be more inclined to say we don't have the talent. But we haven't seen any changes or an attempt to make it work, it's just the same every week.
