I don't get across to Goodison all that often but I was there for the Sheff. Utd game and I don't think I was ever so dispirited after a game as I was after that.
The result was awful, but in football you sometimes don't get what you deserve, so I could live with the that.
However, it was the inept, clueless,pedestrian performance that really got to me and I was looking down on a manager who either didn't see the problem or didn't know what to do about it.
I walked back into town and went to O Neills for a pint where the evening game was on , Brighton and Newcastle I think, we even made them look good.
I do hope Marco Silva turns things around but it isn't just results that are poor, performances are as well and unfortunately the Sheff game was the norm rather than the exception.
Continuity would be great, but continuity with the wrong man will not make things better. I do hope tomorrow is the first day of the rest of our season and we see a performance as well as a win.
