That's the thing mate, I hate using them as an example, but when you look at that RS squad you don't think too yourself "WOW, top quality" the one thing they do have running through it that is top quality is that winning, never giving up mentality.
Yeah that is the first thing Brands should look for. Are they winners are they determined to me that is now more important than all the fancy dan skill we have when it's going well.

No mate they have a manager who can get the best out of them. That's why we need to appoint a World Class manager someone like Diego Simeone who can come in and sort it out from the word go...he's managed the second string in Madrid and done well so come here and manage the First Club in Liverpool...he'd relish it because he is a winner.

Silva is going nowhere, unless we look like getting relegated, until the end of the season. Even our board of directors won’t risk another debacle like the situation like post Koeman, when we appointed that stain on the game of football Fat Sam.
I am pretty sure though that Brands has been tasked with identifying and recruiting a new coach who will be appointed at the end of the season, within a day or so of Silva being dismissed.

Was just about to say something similar: reset. Just in the past few years whatever was supposed to be good about Koeman or Silva simply did not manifest when they got here. So what is it about Everton? How many managers does the club go through and the same type of things happen? And when I think of the concept of replacing Silva, I cannot see the wood for the trees.
The club culture is an acceptance of defeat.

I don't get the criticism of Moshiri / the Board.
They are providing the funding , and will deliver the new ground , I believe.
The "football people" are letting us down.
Now we have a DoF, time will tell if Brands is up to the job.
He has done well generally getting rid of the deadwood , and most of his buys seem sound.
Failed re a new CB which could be really problematic.
With what he has been provided with , Silva has failed markedly.

You are aware that he was paid around 41 mil euro last season aren’t you, which is around 35/36 mil sterling ?

Oh deffo agree Klopp gets the best out of them, but he's also installed that "We're not afraid of anyone" mentality into them. Our players just happy clap the opposition after a defeat, and Silva just looks like he's going to burst into tears every time I see him.
