The only difference is under koeman the majority of players had downed tools and given up.
That is not the case now. They are just underperforming completely

To me that's irrelevant. The players can support him all they want but if we don't get results then we need a change.

Koeman did better in harder matches and got sacked.

Clearly the club has now downgraded what they feel is acceptable.

It wasn't Wenger. We are the true specialists in failure.

I don't get the criticism of Moshiri / the Board.
They are providing the funding , and will deliver the new ground , I believe.
The "football people" are letting us down.
Now we have a DoF, time will tell if Brands is up to the job.
He has done well generally getting rid of the deadwood , and most of his buys seem sound.
Failed re a new CB which could be really problematic.
With what he has been provided with , Silva has failed markedly.
30 years with feck all lad Joke managers and an acceptance of "staying in the prem" mentality. I'm lucky to have seen titles, cups won, but I feel for those younger who have seen the sqare root of naff all achieved by the club.

They had no choice but to sack koeman when players were not even trying.
He has not reached that point yet but results are terrible.
But unless they have a replacement lined up who is better they may as well wait until they do.

Would love to hear what negative only posters like @Cork Evertonian think of his leadership today, I'm not Silva's biggest fan but he listened and got it right today.

My thoughts are this is an extremely mentally weak Everton side, that can't beat anyone away.Blowing a 2-1 lead against the mighty Brighton and Hove Albion, in the last 10 minutes.16th in the table, im sure you can see the problem here. But hey at least you ain't, Silva biggest fan.So at least you are capable of, getting something right. You might actually have something, between your two ears after all.Make no mistake about it.Silva is in trouble, serious trouble.

The problem is we've gone from bad to worse. I remember when fans would complain about Moyes, not putting more effort to win away games, now your just happy if you don't lose and that was when we had a lot less money. The issue isn't simply that we're losing, it's the way we're losing. It all started with Bournmouth coming back from 2-0 to 2-2 when we were dominating the game last season. Than we had awful defeats against the RS, Millwall, Newcastle, and all the away games this season. What is worrying is teams like Wolves, Leicester even Sheffield United look better than us. Nowadays I just expect us to lose, you knew once they got a goal back, that they would go on and get the win. So what if we beat Watford at home, we'll just get knocked out by a better side in the next round and we'll of kept him for a few weeks more than we should of.

If he can't outrun....a Moshiri Special..... lol :cool:

That is my point.
Silva has not reached that point yet.
But the results have

The results are the only thing that matters.

The idea that players need to physically give up before a manager can be sacked makes no sense.

The results are atrocious. He's had plenty of time. The only reason he is still here is that the club have zero standards and don't care about success or the supporters.
