Glad you pointed that out since no one else seems to be able to analyze context. No mate, klopp always played a high press, intensive game, it’s been the same from day one. What’s been different is the personnel which has now pushed them to a very good team.
and sidibe pushing on was one problem, but the shape had gone. He took Walcott off we had nobody on the right to the fullback. That’s a very poor way of accepting an awful tactical change
Sidibe was pressing forward because that's what we were trying to do, come back from the VAR penalty and try to win. He was out of place because Gylfi half-assed a cross directly to Brighton's keeper, who immediately tossed it deep, quickly countering our attack. Meanwhile since the formation was so bad, there was no one on the right side of the pitch. How on Earth Davies and/or Delph weren't sitting back for coverage is beyond me. Even Walcott would have been back to help.
It's Silva's sub of Gylfi that led to this play having a chance of even happening. Further compounded by Delph coming in.
