as Southall said of two seasons ago. We were never getting relegated and it was rubbish for that corrupt oaf to be spouting on about a "job done". its the same now.

as miserable as football makes me lately and as bad as we are as a club, i dont understand people panicing 2/3 mths in to a season. you have season upon season of evidence of the utter crap that ends up down the bottom placings to show you we will be fine.
Our aim was European football and this knob has us scrapping at the bottom.

Will we with no Gomes in our midfield?

Can hardly rely on Delph playing more than 12 games between now and May given his fitness record so we could be in more trouble than we currently realise.

Its difficult. Last 3 league games have been odd. Battered West Ham. Line up against Brighton was roundly applauded, went 1 2 up then got VARed, big time. 94th minute OG.

Today, a desperate game from both sides. Daft mistake gave Spurs their only shot, (?), then Gomes gets bust, 2 VAR pens go against us, and we grab a late leveller.

And again, the starting line up was welcomed, on here anyrate.

I am happy to concede I havnt watched anything other than MOTD, and I am far from convinced he is the right bloke, but blimey, thats some black cats he has seen in any league.

yes. regardless. we will be fine.

teams put runs together and the picture changes quickly.

we are utter crap but have 3 teams worse than us and are only 5 pts away from where we are aiming for. how bad are all those other teams if we need to worry about relegation and they are all within 5pts of us?

oct/nov is not time for this worrying about relegation unless we were cut adrift at the bottom. even allowing for the hard run coming up that people are predicting zero pts from. they predicted no chance today and we were probably the better of two crap sides and didnt lose. honestly dont get it.

Agreed. But we ARE the utter crap under Silva

What about the 6 before? It’s a results business. He’s not getting them.

Black cats are lucky in england but not in USA.

...yep. The issue with VAR is that it was supposed to bring consistency of decision across games, but what we are seeing is different outcomes for the same incidents. We’ve had two penalty decisions go against us that would have had a different outcome had it been a different team, I have no doubt about that.

its simple for me, these decisions should be made simpler. A player raises his hand above his head and hits the ball, it’s a penalty. The definition should be black and white, not open to interpretation.

Tbh there has been a bit of a reaction in the last few weeks and if not for some shocking officiating we’d be a few points better off and way up the table. still quite turgid and he’s still too reactive but at least he’s changing up the formation now and not being so predictable with his line ups which is a start

The team was well received before kick off but that was not a 4-3-3 what I just saw.
