2019/20 Marco Silva

Just reading the Southampton forum and it’s sad that fans of a team in the bottom three who lost their last home game 9-0 are saying we’re a very winnable game for them. This is the reality of a Marco Silva team.

This has to be his last game in charge now.
I really don't understand how the guy is still manager. It's not just that we lose, it's the way we lose. The warning signs were there from the beginning, failing to beat Wolves after getting back to 2-1, losing a 2 goal lead at Bournmouth, the Millwall game, Newcastle, and a few others were we have lost in the last minute or they've pegged us back. We've lost 4 out of 5 of our away games against relatively average opposition, which to me is unforgivable, even Moyes and Bobby weren't doing that. The thing is in the past we had players like Lukaku, Barkley, Jags, Baines, Pienaar, Stones, Barry and a younger Coleman to get us through tough periods. There isn't anybody in the current team, who can get us out of a hole as you can see by our failure to come back when losing games. What a lot of the people who say give him time don't understand, is with the way we're playing games like Liverpool, Chelsea, Man City and even Arsenal are right offs so we can't afford to go into January losing pretty much all our December games.

THE games we have won have all ( lol ) been against teams lower than us in the table, wolves were at the time , so tomorrow we have a chance...

having said that, if you are only capable of beating the teams 3 places below you then that doesn't say much about where we are heading as a club

When you take into account too that the last time we actually won away in the premier league was last March, it doesn't really fill me with optimism and excitement. Southampton will be well up for it and will see us a way to kick start their season with us being so crud all season.

Big day for Marco tomorrow and possibly his last day too.

Nothing wrong with my standards. Sometimes you just have to sit back workout where the problem is coming before fixing it. Sacking a manager will just take us further behind as it takes a long time to offload unwanted players.
Not if you can get a coach in who can get better out of them. Look at Rodgers at Leicester. How many has he added maybe a couple? Yet he has that team top four as things stand.

Agree. Said it the other day, last 3 games his team has been welcomed, did sound against West Ham, did the unthinkable at Brighton and came from behind to lead, then got VAR'ed, then Spurs, a poor game all round, but gave away a daft goal, but still grabbed a deserved point.

Lost his Gana replacement, now lost Gomes. Sometimes it isnt all on the manager.

We will probably win or draw tomorrow to drag the pain of having silva on for another week. If he avoids defeat tomorrow, it will end at Leicester I can’t see us getting anywhere near leicester, which is a crying shame.

No fight at Everton at the moment, it’s tragic

Rodgers didn't buy Vardy who is now banging them in for fun.
Exactly. You said if we got a new manager we would go backwards and he would be lumbered with another managers players that we can't offload, Rogers makes a mockery of that? If you get the right manager he can get the best out the players the excuse that they 'aren't his players' isn't good enough for me.
