Made the subs too late today. Was clear for that iwobi was spent for ten-fifteen before.

Thought we looked comfortable apart from the throws and occasional long ball. Hope other teams don't target it.

Good result overall though
We’ve got enough central height, but our full backs are both short by modern standards, Wolves second was an awful goal to give away.

Did notice on every throw that Wolves had that we had plenty of players in the area that the throw would land but at the far post (waiting for the flick on) it was 2 Everton players to 2 Wolves players which worried me. We should have had at least 1 more player on the far post for numerical advantage. Noticed that Gomes was marking Boly for the conceded goal but next time they had a free kick Gomes pushed Mina to mark Boly.

We’re unbeaten in 7 at Goodison with 6 wins on the spin and 6 of those 7 games as clean sheets. Those games have included 6 of last season’s top 9.

We never had problem playing against better teams when we sit back and deploy our best tactic that perfectly suits the player we have - counter attacking Football.

The problem is always trying to be clever with half bake possession football against weaker team because we simply don’t have the quality to play like that. Especially away from home. Silva need to be smarter when dealing with weaker teams. We are just walking into our own trap if we continue to play slow buildup.

Only City have had as many clean sheets us in 2019.....oh sorry, they don't count anymore when discussing whether he can organise a defence.

Erm ok.

Proper can’t wait for December me. Once Anfield is out of the way obviously. Gonna be fun getting stuck into Chelsea, United and Arsenal.

WHAT’S OUR NAME.

Can't wait for this to get accepted as absolute fact.
It is though isn't it? I'm sure it was given as a stat at the end of last season, and as nobody has more than us so far this season we can't have been overtaken. We've kept 12 since the turn of the year, who has kept more than that?

*Edit* Just checked and the answer is nobody. Can't wait for this to be disputed by some absolute idiot.

The goalless draw with Palace on Saturday maintained a remarkable turn in defensive fortunes for Silva's side, with Opta stats revealing after the game that this was the Toffees' 11th clean sheet since the year began.

Only Pep Guardiola's Manchester City have a better record - the Citizens keeping 13 clean sheets, including one on Saturday during their 5-0 drubbing of West Ham at the London Stadium.
:bye:

We have too many players who are inconsistent.
We just can’t depend on week in week out quality performances
Too many players have too many off days
Obviously we aren’t going to win the league but to get anywhere close we need more consistency from most of our team.
Hopefully that lack of consistency will not prevent us winning a cup
