The other thing the a leauge does by being a bit of a retirement fund for ageing players, presents the kids that come over a chance to play with and against some legends of the game, lining up against the likes of a del piero even thou well past there prime stiff offer more In my mind then playing in league 2 or scottish 2nd divi

The goalkeeper for the European powerhouse that is the Faroe Islands? Look mate, if you don't want our youngsters to go to Australia because you think it's one long beach party here, fair enough. It's not, but that's your opinion. If you'd prefer our youngsters to go to some League One club in the North West because you don't trust TV/internet/foreign coaches or whatever that's your opinion, fair enough. But let's have it right - you don't loan young players out in order to sign other players, you loan them out for their own development. Chris Long has gone to Brentford. By your logic, which of their superstars are we in for?

Edit: Actually, it's not worth the effort. Clearly, I'm wrong, my opinion counts for nought, and the A League is the future of World Football!

442 in Australia reporting that the Mariners want a striker and centre back on loan. They seemed to have guessed that Sam Byrne, Courtney Duffus and Calum Dyson would be top of the list. But the mariners are currently managerless so it will be interesting to see who eventually end up going.

dyson is a big chance, since he has a lot of family over there / close to them.

I think it would be a fantastic opportunity for any of our players. Obviously the standard will be below the championship but not by a huge deal (maybe similar to the SPL). More importantly though a huge opportunity to live away from home and develop mentally as footballers playing away from home. There is a lot of talk about B leagues (the concept not the implementation I agree with). It's obviously quite difficult to get young players loaned out to English league clubs. I have always wondered why clubs don't look to send more players abroad for loans though. A lot of German and Spanish teams are happy to do this, and experience a different country as well as football style is hugely beneficial.

I also think at worst with Australia for the lads themselves it would be a fantastic place to live for a year. If they don't make it at Everton there are much worse ways to earn a living than playing pro somewhere like Australia. Coaches are right to point out young players don't get opportunities, but the Premier league is an elite competition now. Increasingly for young players to get game time they will need to look to move abroad to do so.

Of the names above all of them would be god for us to get out on loan. Dyson is a big strong lad, but has really stalled since being in the under 18's for a couple of years. Unlike a lot of his year group he hasn't moved on to the reserves. He is a big strong lad with a good scoring record and I think needs to be playing men's football now.

I hope Australia won't have the same influence as it does on English cricketers.
