Greece's fire service apologised for "a mess", but said the situation could worsen due to the weather.

The next couple of weeks could get a lot worse as temperatures expected to remain at current levels

Thanks to you all. It is getting out of control now due to the winds. mOVING RATHER RAPIDLY in this direction. Now evacuated everyone or about to people from Pefkos and Lindos. People passing out around me..... power cuts every 2 hours and a water shortage. All taxis and buses picing up those from the areas most affected. Melting in this heat but have to be a calm cool head as to not worry my guests. xx

Sadly moving closer to this area ..... before it was about 45km away............ now its about 18km away with another 3 villages evacuated. It is so so hot and I am not one to complain about it. Constantly have my head in the sink when I have a minute.... xxx love you all xx
