We need a man with a league title, two cup titles, a continental championship, and has taken relegation fodder to European places.

I wish Sir John Moores was still around,he'd get Martinez in a taxi and sack him as he did in 1961 with Johnny Carey, which wasn't a popular decision at the time brought in Harry Catterick who added steel to the style and we were Champions by 1963,yeah we're playing great football at times, got the nucleus of a great side but we're not ruthless enough,no nasty streak in the team, hence we get walked over week in week out by nomark teams and joke officials,Moores would go out and get Mourinho,he's stated in the past we're one of only four clubs in the country he'd consider managing,go and get him, this board will just keep drifting unfortunately.

Martinez In for me

He still winds me up sometimes, but we're in a Cup Semi Final and it's hard to complain about that

If he drops Robles for the Semi Final though, I'll reserve the right to revisit my opinion, especially if we go out courtesy of a Timmy Starfish blunder

Big difference Dario is that Harry had plenty of clout in the transfer market compared to most of his contemporary rivals, which neither Roberto or any possible successor would have today.

It was a era remember, where Everton in 1963 succeeded Ipswich Town as league champions.

Totally different football landscape, alas :(

"If something needs to be done, then something will be done." Compare with our current Dear Leader!

True mate, but to me as a team we are not that far off, with a snide like Jose in charge;),he knows how to organise a side and I'm sure we'd be sat now with ten points at least from the last four games,to be big at times you should think big and make big decisions, however our small time boards mentality will never seize a major opportunity, the thought of a change in stewardship let alone entertaining the thought of bringing a Mourinho in would have them all running to the bogs!lol

Are you under 29 Dario ?

Losing patience definitely. He's ludicrously stubborn and resistant to substitutions. Which is the complete opposite of his first season.

This season, without the excuse of any European hangovers, we're left in pretty much the exact place we finished last season. Except we've got Rom scoring every fecking game, the best fullbacks in the league, the hottest CB in the league, Barry's having a brilliant season... the pieces are all there, but it's not working. It's immensely frustrating and I think it's all well and good being patient, but this is season 3 now for Roberto. If we don't kick on we will lose these players. Lukaku will be pulling his hair out as he's doing everything he can yet we're in midtable.

If come the end of the season we miss out on a top 7 place (which given the way the league is going, that should be the bare minimum) and Roberto doesn't look to change a few things (i.e. getting Kev back into the fold and stopping this Howard nonsense) then I'll firmly want him gone. Fair play to him for building this team but I'm just left thinking that there must be other managers who can do better. Only Chelsea have underperformed more than us this season when you look at the quality of the squad vs league position.

I agree with that.

I am still in the Bobby camp but if there was a man we could bring in to tighten that defence and instill a killer instinct in the attackers I would bring him in.

That right Dazza? Blimey.

Would have him in a heartbeat me. And I still support Martinez, but the frustration of these last 4 games has been extreme.

Save him £40m with Stones here as well!
