He is not going to be sacked unless we slip into relegation mode which I don't think will happen. It is patently obvious that the club have no other ambition than staying in the Premier League in the top half with the possibility of getting into Europe (via the Europa, Champions league is a distant dream imo). To progress in the league as opposed to winning a cup, you have to base your strategy on sound defence ie; don't concede first and at the moment this is not being addressed. I believe that we do have a chance of a cup, but if we don't this season what happens then? are we going to lose Lukaku, Mirrallas, Stones and others? Will we have to rebuild yet again? I think that if we do lose these players Martinez may well walk himself. BTW to compare this team to the mid eighties one, good though some of the football has been, is rather premature at the moment. However I don't think he should be got rid of mid season.....lets wait and see what happens. If that defence is not sorted then it could well be bye bye Roberto for me. Next 6 weeks is crucial for Everton....

All I'm saying is you can't solely credit Martinez for Rom being here , like I said he wasn't really a Martinez target in the first place.

I don't think he's doing bad enough for us to be on his case right now but he's hardly kicked on or even came close to replicating his first season. Carling cup final would do enough to take my mind off mid table mediocrity though for this season.
