I've read elsewhere he has a buy out, so if we meet that value, they can be as reluctant as they like.
Not saying I want Martinez btw, just that I don't know if they can stop him leaving.

Can't find articles about it but didn't he take us to court when he was sacked?
I mean, we put the clause in his contract. I don't see what he did wrong in asking for what he was due?Sacked Roberto Martinez received £10m pay-off from Everton

And probably the one who put that clause wants him back I mean wtf.I mean, we put the clause in his contract. I don't see what he did wrong in asking for what he was due?
Tell you what mate the stats don’t lie. Not rewriting the history. Turning failure into some kind of success and deems it’s ok.I would also point out that:
1) As bad as it got, he left us in 12th place with two semi-final runs. That's the kind of 'failure' that looks a lot like success to us these days.
2) In that first season we played some genuinely fantastic football, with a not-that-great squad.
I do think it's a bit of an uninspired choice, but the way you lot are talking as if he's a total chancer is very unfair, and quite revisionist.
The one bonus if we got Martinez would be he could force Henry to play instead of Rondon lol

That doesn’t mean a winning rate of 31.6% and 26.5% are acceptable. We just sack a manager with 26.3% winning rate. What has he done to warrant a return? RM is not Moyes.Ancelotti finished 12th and 10th.
