So Martinez should have just said "I'm resigning, don't worry about that £10m (or whatever it was) I'm entitled to that is in my contract"

I don't care who you are, or what job you do, or how much you cock - up in that job, no one in their right mind is going to do that.

He should have been done for gross misconduct after that Jason Derulo video.

There are PLENTY of sticks to beat Martinez with. Him getting his LAWFUL compensation for having his employment terminated is not one of them.

Perhaps as naive as the one who gave him the stupid new contract after a year. And as naive enough to believe he was actually alright as a manager. Come on he has no class.

Some managers did resign because they felt they were not up to the job though. Miniority perhaps. Sometimes you may decide to take what you deserve if you have connection to something. Handed in the resignation and negotriated a compensation pack with the club would be a good thing. If you took the full sum and had seen nothing wrong about it maybe you thought you were doing ok for the club...

But yeah we are just ordinary people after-all.

Hmm, I didnt even include them, I forgot most of them was even a thing, so its closer to 30 signings, dunno, think cos Mason has been with us so long most forget he was signed.

I assumed they were part of the 24, mainly because I can't think of that many players he signed (Does Deulofeu count as two?).

Yeah probably right with Holgate. I also think some get him and Stones mixed up in terms of when they signed etc.
