I'm thinking of investing in one of those new Bobby teddy bears to cuddle up to in bed. They're all the rage at the moment with his vast worldwide fanbase. Apparently you can get ones which do a Jason Derulo dance if you wind them up but they're a bit pricey at 72 quid a pop.

Whilst I think Bobby was guilty of swinging the lead in attending to some of his training procedures (eg defence), I don't think he should be cast in some ultimate Aunty Sally role. It's been well established (thanks to the indefatigable investigative work of @davek ),that Bobby had to contend with the conspiring, back-stabbing activity of Bainesy and Capt Jags. Furthermore, the Iranian carpet-bagger obviously had an agenda against him as did the gurning Caledonian galoot (who Blue Bill foisted on him).
All things taken into account, Bobby did a phenomenal job at Everton. For three seasons, we were in a good moment of our football.

He got 72 points with Naismith, Osman and Hibbert getting games.

The feller plaited sawdust.
He also got 47 points and finished bottom half twice with Lukaku, Barkley, Stones, an in prime Baines, Jags, and Coleman, Gareth Barry before his legs fell off, etc... Dave the man has literally 1 top half premier league season in 8 tries. Which one is the outlier?

Well, it was seven seasons and the first four were at a club who'd had barely one top half finish before in the top flight...and he handed them a major trophy they'll never ever win again.

The last two seasons here were poor in the PL but good in the cups.

Everywhere he's gone he's broke records for his employers.

Swansea
Wigan
Everton
Belgium.......all experienced a great high under his management. These are facts and cant be denied.

Yes, as his record breaking time at Belgium underlines.

Club football also suits him though:

drags Swansea back to big time
trophy win with an ale house team
record bresking season with a club that can only dream about 70 odd points in a single campaign

Thanks for making me laugh on this dull morning with no game to look forward to at the weekend. :D

Getting a bit impatient for the fraudulent domehead to return to club management, tbh. It's all very well saying he's got the perfect sinecure with Belgium, but look at it from his perspective - half the wage of the manager of Huddersfield Town, and opportunities to chat wham to a captive audience massively reduced. This last point is critical - the man has a PhD in bolloxology and he's barely getting the opportunity to use it. He has to be dying to get back in the dugout so what is taking him?
