No. I bear him no ill will. Hasnt been disrespectful since he was sacked, got himself a decent job, (somehow), he is a decent, if flawed, man.

That first season was brilliant. 72pts was an excellent achievement - and one that would have been more richly rewarded (CL football etc) in most other seasons. However I don't think it's unreasonable to say that the evidence seems to now point towards that being a result of the lingering effects of Moyes's defensive solidity, mixed with Martinez's attacking instincts, rather than it being something RM created on his own. Even towards the end of that season, the cracks were starting to show. We had a "phenomenal" run and got ourselves into 4th place after the Sunderland game, then proceeded to lose 3 out of 4 games to throw away our shot at finishing ahead of Arsenal.

As for the two cup semi finals. Yes, on the face of it a decent achievement. But in those two runs we beat precisely ONE decent team (Chelsea) and even they were having their worst season in god knows how long. The only other two good sides we played (and I'm generously counting one of the worst Man Utd teams in history as "good" we lost to.

I think if you had to misfortune of chucking £600+ at a season ticket last year only for him to not give a toss about us losing every week and doing nothing to rectify it, you'd wish the utter melt animosity.
