He's just not ready to command a place at CB. That doesn't mean he's awful. He does some things well against lesser players.

My point has always been, he's been heralded as a must starter in here. The main CB with whom we should find a partner.

I just don't see it yet. I don't see anything he's fantastic at.

But we shouldn't give up on him. He's played a relatively small amount of games at CB.

This was only happening when we had Holgate, Keane, Jags and Williams as options.

Holgate is absolutely woeful, cannot believe people were calling for him to be a starter. He's ok (ish) when he has a leader alongside him telling him what to do but just watch how lazy he is, the first goal today he just jogged back when he was out of position, bust a bloody gut to get back man!! The third was equally as poor, just let arnautovic run off him, so much of defending is not necessarily dispossessing people but being a presence, nudging people just as they're about to hit it. He thinks he's big time because he starts from time to time, just watch him on those behind the scenes youtube videos walking round as if he owns the place. He shouldn't be anywhere near the starting eleven when Jagielka, Keane, Zouma and Mina are fit.

People say give the youth a chance but some of the players who have come through are average and that's being nice.

Said this before but look how many youth players and acedemy players actually made it in PL since 2000.
