Mina being out as soon as he returns from Colombian duty - only to return just before his next international, Gomes being good and then horrific, and Holgate being generally useless are not great insights. They are utterly predictable for anybody with half an eye. Yet, we insist on sacking managers and having the new guy persist with them all over again. We are in an eternal Groundhog day, the only difference being the guy who wakes up every morning to experience the same day over and over again is a new manager every 12 months or so.
