We didnt concede.

We had plenty of chances.

We took a point from an away game.


Theres 3 reasons to use the back 3.

Holgate yellow was a good tackle as well.

Even this is a major improvement for them. Most of the season we’ve had players doing suicidal back passes, getting caught on the ball as the last man, ducking under crosses, handballs and stupid fouls in the penalty area, not blocking crosses. Just last game the entire back line got undone by one bouncing ball down the middle of the pitch.

So unfortunately whilst this is the norm for most teams, any defensive set up that results in these defenders not doing anything wrong for 90 minutes is probably a decent one.

And some inexperience from a very young centre back. He will learn from that.
