I like the prospect of him and Godfrey under Tarkowski and Coady, they’d both offer pace too if we needed to switch to a back 3, something neither of the current 2 have a lot of.

….really don’t get why some posters think Holgate is fast. He is faster than Mina and Keane but so is Betty (my 94 year old Mother-in-Law). Holgate is immobile with no powers of recovery.

Mina and Keane are gone but Holgate and Godfrey should be right out the door as well. The pair of them are never going to be centre backs for a decent premier league team - they’re not kids, they can’t defend the box to save their lives, they’re Norwich standard. Enough of the lot of them.

Keep Tarks, Coady, Branthwaite and bring in another centre back. No more waiting on repeat failures to to magically turn into top half players.

What makes Branthwaite do reliable?Another one who cost us dearly last season getting sent off. Can’t get a game a PSV.

This is what I would do if possible in January bring back Branthwaite get Keane, Mina and Holgate out the door. Keep Godfrey for now. Get two starting wide forwards push Gray and Gordon to the bench. Fire Davies in to the sun.

I remember the game where it confirmed to me he was nowhere near good enough and that was back in September 2018 when we got comfortably beaten 3-1 at home by West Ham and Arnautovic bullied him. Positionally Holgate was woeful and he's just an average or worse defender. Needs to be high up the list on those who need to be sold soon.

Nothing, he’s young, has potential and unlike the others hasn’t had multiple runs in the team dropping clanger after clanger.

If we bring in another centre back, they’d be third choice, Branthwaite fourth.

I'm not even sure he's faster than Mina. He's lighter on his feet and so more mobile, but once they're both running I'm not sure he's any quicker.
He looked decent next to Coady and Tarkowski at the start of the season.

The lads slipped. It happens.
He can't put a proper run of games together without cocking up though, he never has been able to. It's always 'oh he had a good game apart from...' and 'he's been doing well recently so i'll let him off for tonight'. He's not absolutely terrible, but he's unreliable, a below average player at this level.
