When Galloway stepped in at left back last season he did well enough, but, because of Galloway's limitations, I had no problems with Baines coming straight back, but Holgate has barely put a foot wrong defensively and looks useful going forward too.

I think Seamus may struggle to dislodge him straight away.

Steady on, he's only played a handful of games and, at his age, he's almost bound to go through a sticky patch. Lets just be happy that we have real competition for places once Seamus is fit.

Keeps Coleman out of the side on current form. In fact, he keeps the Coleman of the previous two entire seasons out of the side on this form. Unlike Galloway who was often like a fish out of water in the opposition half, he looks at home going forward and could have had his second assist of the season today if Lukaku had been sharper.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I love him too. I'd seen him play two or three times for the U21's and wasn't sure if he was ready for the first team, but he's stepped up pretty seamlessly.

I'm happy just watching him at the moment tbh, but lets not get carried away !
