The middle ground is saying Holgate should be starting and Davies deserves more sub appearances to show if he should start or not.

How does it show him up exactly? He has picked him , praised him , included him in the squad and played him . He is following the accepted pathway for a young player being gradually brought into a team. Why start him over Coleman who is an experienced talented PL full back, especially when Holgate is primarily a CB. It's particularly ironic that Coleman was once in the same position with us crying for him to get more game time, yet when he got it he still made mistakes. Now Coleman is not flavour of the month in true fashion people turn on him and demand the latest young player replace him. In 8 years time you'll probably be criticising Holgate and demanding the latest young thing replace him forthwith, pathetic.Holgate has totally shown Koeman up.
