Think we are being harsh on the lad. He is not a full back but koeman persists on playing him there. Was excellent away at city and virtually nullified the threat of Sane. At fault tonight for their goal, but once again the whole team has been poor. He's being made the scapegoat, when once again our 'big money signings' have failed to show up, who should be leading by example.

He's not a right back and doesn't really defend well enough to be a CBS. His only real use has been RCB in a 3 and even there he's made mistakes. Needs time to play consistently and develop still but he's not a prem player at the moment

He is better in a 3 at the back. I disagree I don't think he is a full back. He's certainly not playing like one tonight

How come when he needlessly kicked someone in our own penalty area and gave away a penalty. And he is dreadful when going forward too.
I'm baffled. A full back who is clueless defensively is somehow actually a centre half???

I accept he was at fault for the goal and has been poor, but has he been any worse than Schnerderlin and klassen?

Klassen is the slowest thing alive but this that know tell me he will be a lot better when he has fast players around him.
If Holgate is the answer then I'm scared.
We didn’t say he is the answer we’re simply telling you regardless of where he’s playing tonight or how good he is - he is still a centre half by trade.
Regardless of position, the lad is nowhere near good enough.
