Match Fixing

Firstly I think we’re going to see a lot of decisions go FOR teams outside of the so called big 6 over the coming weeks. I doubt there will be any for us.

Secondly, Saturday made me think why be in this league any more. Not saying I want us to get relegated but there’s no enjoyment in this anymore. Was the super league really a bad idea for us?!? Or should we keep hoping to finish 5/6/7th…

I don’t buy that TBH. Yes, they have a global brand to sell & it’s in their interest to have a big finish (at both ends), but I don’t believe they would resort to that & risk tarnishing the image of the competition.

I suspect he’s been paid by City.
Where there is money (lots of it by the way) there is corruption
This premier league and their directive is to keep the better teams at the top at any cost
I think your naive if you don’t believe the EFL are not part of this problem.

It used to be laughed off as tin foil hat stuff but corruption has been proven at the very highest level of the game (only when it pissed on the shoes of America's government...)

Corruption has been proven at some of the world's biggest clubs in Serie A.

We have pundits such as Le Tissier admitting his part in match fixing - but broadcasters don't care.

It's not tin foil hat stuff to think corruption exists in a multi billion pound industry.

But just how corrupt is the game?

^ Still, this.

I wonder will the Football League fine Frank fit his comments in his post match interviews. Now that is a dilemma, if they don't it looks like they agree with him and accept what he said was true, if they do fine him they will be seen to be trying to defend the indefensible. I would love to be at the meeting were they decide what they are going to do.
You know for certain if they don’t fine him it’s an admission there’s a massive mistake been made and they just want it to go away!

I don't know if I would go as far as to say match fixing / rigging; but the standard of referees is at the lowest I can remember.

The only decent ones out there are Michael Oliver and Anthony Taylor. The rest are just useless. Some of them aren't even got enough to keep up with play (Jon Moss).

Sadly we can't have Oliver or Taylor every week, so something needs to be done to being the rest up to their standard; it's no coincidence that they were the two English refs at the last Euros.
Oliver is the “best” of a pretty bad bunch, I feel Taylor has joined the ranks of the bad bunch over the last couple of years! As for Moss he’s just a joke of a referee, as you say he can’t even keep up with play!
And the man in charge of VAR is Mike Riley - up there as being one of the worst referees ever, which pretty much sums VAR up!

I don’t believe anyone would make such a blatant action & not send it to the ref on some EPL directive.

The only logical explanation is he’s been paid by City.

100% match fixing isn't it.

There's no other explanation. You can't say "yeah he got that wrong" because it's as clear as day it's a penalty and he had 2 minutes worth of replays to see it. So the only assumption you can come to is he's made the decision on purpose.

He needs to be suspended and investigated.

The Athletic are reporting that the club have made a formal complaint.

Premier league will see the clubs crest on the letter head and throw it straight in the bin.

When will people relative we don’t matter one jot to the PL. The super league debacle showed that, everything possible was done to appease 6 teams who wanted to destroy football in this country (and largely have done anyway even before this). The powers that run the game aren’t arsed in the slightest of little old Everton feel they’re being unfair to them.
