That only sounds a small amount because that doesn't even get us a Sigurdsson but in general its not buttons either.

Just don't see Allan offering us anything,thought he would be a dynamic "Reidy"type,winning tackles,giving and going etc,not saying Davies is the answer at all but for £25 million he has been massively dissapointing to me.

…..I’m not criticising @davek for his stance on not wanting a DoF, but from all we’ve heard Ancelotti was the one who wanted Allan. It does confirm to me that it’s not about having a DoF and it’s not about not having a DoF, it’s about having somebody who is very good at building a squad.

Our approach has been very disjointed for a while & I’m not sure our process works (where the manager or DoF can initiate and veto transfers).

We had 4 starters out against the second best team in the country and made about 12 subs. Regardless, you just post misery, constantly. It's weird

We were 3-0 down pretty early and easily with some horrific errors and generally terrible performances.

Is it really misery or is it just not burying heads in the sand?

Lots can change of course but the signs are looking a bit grim.

True, but I think he ended up breaking even/with a negative net spend after selling Haller in January.

A DOF really has to be main man to be a success. Otherwise its pointless and they are nothing more than a glorified scout/youth system developer.

5 managers all bringing their own players in in such a short space of time (along with the DOF's signings) is asking for trouble.
