It's he negativity before during and after, though. No positive comments, just seeking out all the best reasons to moan. Let us see, give it a few weeks of actual football and then drink bleach, rather than doing so for3 months without knowing what will actually happen
3 months? Its been 25 years!!

I don't tend to moan too much (past caring after this summer to be honest) but I totally understand those who do moan. We are an absolute shambles, made worse because the reasons we are in a mess are down to our own stupidity. We have loads of money we can't spend, spent boatloads of money on utter crap and make unsuitable appointment after unsuitable appointment.

People will moan about just spinning our wheels for 2 and a half decades without actually going anywhere. We actually had a bit of optimism last summer and look where that left us!

But the bleach looks so appetising when you look down and see that useless fat clown waving his arms about on the sideline.

Surely we have to bin him off before his probationary period ends?

He is just a bad joke.
My worry would be that Moshiri would then put himself in charge.

And probably put himself in the team.

Actually...he can't do much worse...

A DOF really has to be main man to be a success. Otherwise its pointless and they are nothing more than a glorified scout/youth system developer.

5 managers all bringing their own players in in such a short space of time (along with the DOF's signings) is asking for trouble.

…yep, it all seems too ‘nice’ at Everton. Brands won’t bring players in unless Benitez agrees. Brands happy to accommodate Benitez suggestions.

Whatever we have in place isn’t working. I’m ambivalent to Brands but I’m not sure he earned another contract,

The widespread negativity is there because we have been disheartened on such a regular and long term basis. Not won anything since 95. Struggled to break into the top 4 for years, moaning about lack of funds, yet the minute we get a sugar daddy owner we go on to squander it all on mediocrity. Even when we got close to success, we failed miserably. The defeat to Villarreal. Chelsea Cup final. The league Cup semis against both Manchester clubs. The multiple derby annihilations (last season aside when everyone beat them). How would we not be negatively charged???

Think about it, when was the last time we actually comfortably won a match, where we totally dominated a side, played super football and scored a batter of goals???? Even when we are 3 goals up in a game I'm still not confident of winning. The vicious cycle of despair and negativity is natural to expect from fans. This obviously transfers to players and creates a inferiority complex throughout our club.

The only way to break out of this is to actually win something. As usual it's the hope that kills us...

Well according to the Kopite Kool-Aid Kult, all Carlos had to do was tell them to "Go out and play" and we made the top half of the League.

I wonder if Fat Benny will try that tactic instead of whatever it was he was trying to get them to do today?

I totally agree, but why the constant clamour for negativity? it seems many are only happy when they have something to moan about.
Every summer the same people with the same bleach, then we spend money and they shut up

Totally forgot about this. Were we embarrassed or unlucky?
I've only just looked at the thread to see how it went. To be honest I'm not very interested in pre-season friendlies, especially this season. Likewise I'm not going to get suicidal if we start the season badly. Let Manure think we're rubbish and then rope-a-dope them when the results actually matter.

Mate, I’ve been there too! However, I don’t need to make every post about it, highlighting every thing I can find to pour scourn on the players and club.

He spent 40M last season.

That only sounds a small amount because that doesn't even get us a Sigurdsson but in general its not buttons either.
In the current market I don't think £40M is really that much. Gets you a couple of Championship players or 1 player with decent European calibre unless your looking at players with year left on their contract or where something has gone wrong at their current club.

It's deffo nothing like a "warchest" amount.

My point exactly, rather than back him, you look for any reason to turn on him even though it is to the detriment of players and club
