I really can't stand this 'relegated player' nonsense argument that's used as if it bares any relevance whatsoever...

There's been PLENTY of players over the years who've either played in relegated sides or sides in the lower levels who've turned out to be quality players in the Premier League, a good number of them for us even. One of them is currently regarded as our best player and 'England's No. 1' - Jordan Pickford.

Sorry.. but I can't take anyone seriously who uses this argument against signing players ?‍

Everyone cud see Keane was the best player at Forest and was an no brainer signing for Ferguson, Pearce and walker were very good also. These type of players usually stand out in poor sides didn't see much of these standout players in teams relegated recently

Richarlison missed a few sitters last season as well, one was against Burnley. It happens when you are a forward. You can’t take the goals he scored away from him though, and with nine goals in 26 games, he was just as consistent as Richarlison was for Everton.

Iwobi hasn't gotten any better since we signed him. We could get better performances from him by using him in a way that suits his abilities but those abilities are what they are.

A lad with a good pedigree in two of the top divisions in Europe still a couple of years away from reaching the prime of his career. For under £20m, reasonable wages, and with a profile that we actively need more of in the squad.

How is he not potentially a very good acquisition??
