this is all over the place. reports saying we've gazumped arsenal, other reports saying milan have signed him, other one's saying absolutely nothing has been done.

It's obvious none of the papers have a clue and are just making things up (not just about this but about everything ... and not just sports) ... and yet the next time the Daily Mail makes something up about one of our players someone will post it here as fact.

Who is this Green guy?

M’BAYE NIANG wants to join Milan but his club decided to reject Milan’s offer as they won’t loan him.

Reports last week suggested Caen have decided to accept Milan’s offer for young striker M’Baye Niang, but it appears that they have now rejected it as Everton have made them an offer which they find better.

The English press, which is not quite known for its reliability, claimed yesterday that Everton have had their £2 million bid for Niang accepted and they have won the race for the 17-year-old Ligue 2 forward.

Milan-Sampdoria: The Rossoneri squad
Allegri: “Milan have desire to achieve the bestâ€

Sky Italia confirmed yesterday that Caen have decided not to accept the Rossoneri’s bid which was a paid loan (some sources suggest a free loan) plus option to buy the player next summer as they simply don’t want to loan the player this summer and prefer to sell permanently, and Everton’s bid fits their demand.

The ball is in the hands of Milan. Sky reports that the player is keen to join Milan and has made up his mind after visiting Milanello. Milan must change their offer to get Niang who has been compared to Arsenal and France legend Thierry Henry. Adriano Galliani can either change the option to buy into an obligation although Caen’s preferred option would be if Milan offer all the money now instead of next summer.

Developments are expected in the last days. Everton have a real chance of ‘stealing’ him from the hands of Milan but the will of the player is reportedly with Milan, who have already let some youngsters escape.

hope this doesnt drag on to long, If the lad does want to go Milan then i think she look at other targets i dont want us to miss out on other targets waiting for this guy who is waiting for Milan

Wanted man: Everton and Villa are chasing Wolves striker Kevin Doyle

David Moyes has had the Molineux man on his shopping list for some time, but it's likely Wolves will keep firm grip after selling Steven Fletcher

Everton and Aston Villa are chasing Wolves striker Kevin Doyle.
Doyle is a long-term target for David Moyes. The Goodison chief is also hoping to sign French starlet M’Baye Niang from Caen today for £2million.
Wolves are reluctant to let Doyle go after banking £14m for fellow striker Steven Fletcher, who has gone to Sunderland.
Manager Stale Solbakken said: “I have not heard anything about Doyle leaving and hopefully he will stay.â€￾
But Solbakken will listen to offers for winger Stephen Hunt, 31, who has less than a year left on his contract. And he has landed Rennes winger Razak Boukari, 25, on a season’s loan

I think that this is brilliant!!!! I live in Italy, I know the English press is full of sh1te but a quote like this coming from the an Italian sports giornalist is classic, you just can't believe the rubbish they fill their sports papers with on a daily basis.

nixon put on his twitter there will be a small snippet on him in tonights mirror.... Maybe an update on the situation

On the Mirror website it says were interested in Kevin Doyle and there's a sentence in the report saying we hope to conclude the £2m deal for Niang tomorrow.

thing is, he went on trial to Milan before us and said there and then he wanted to join them, was really impressed by them but nothing came of the trail and then he came to us and was equally impressed.

We want him and it turns out Milan do but arnt offering the deal that Caen want, but looks like we are but the player wants to go to Milan more.

So unless Milan dont change there bid, we have a chance, but if Milan come calling with a better offer, he'll go there!.
