Everton boss David Moyes has won the signing race for French sensation M'Baye Niang - after agreeing a £2million-plus deal with Caen.
Moyes beat Arsenal and AC Milan in the chase - Manchester City and Tottenham were also contenders - and will bring the teenager in this weekend.
Niang spent time at Goodison earlier this month, as revealed by MirrorFootball, and Moyes used his new financial strength following the sale of Jack Rodwell to Manchester City to make the best offer.
Caen wanted as much money up front as possible and the Toffees have found the funds whereas the Gunners and Milan tried to make the French outfit settle for a small initial fee.
Niang should sort out personal terms quite quickly and seems happy with the deal despite language problems.
The young forward was more keen on becoming part of Arsenal's highly cosmopolitan squad, but has been guided by his father towards the more lucrative Merseyside option.
I was SO excited when we signed Bakayoko...I promise you. And he was always worth £8.5m. So Everton got a real bargain when they got him for £4.5m in real life!!
Sort of.
"DAVID MOYES has pulled off another coup in landing French wonderkid M’Baye Niang.
The Everton chief has followed the £5.3million capture of Kevin Mirallas by agreeing a £2m deal for the Caen forward.
Arsenal, AC Milan and Tottenham were all keen but Moyes moved first.
Niang, 17, has spent a few days training with the Toffees and is expected to sort out personal terms during the next 48 hours."

Reported in the Sun now too:
Me too. And he was deffo that good on Champ.
With Tommy Svindal Larsen pulling the strings in midfield, you couldn't go wrong!
If this IS true, I'm not buying FM 13. Honestly, I'm updating the FM12 database and I'm sticking with that for life xD

That would be a fantastic deal if true , and at £2m it's a steal.
Perhaps it leaves money for another signing (bryan Oviedo)
£2m would be just bonkers.
Loads of incentives added on i would imagine plus a pretty significant sell-on percentage. Just guessing of course.
