Media relishing Everton’s demise

I feel the need to respond to that. I am a Geordie that grew up on the Wirral back in the days when you and the reds won everything and I agree Everton have been far more successful than us. I recall the worst day of my life as a child. I was in primary school and my best mate at

I recall the worst day of my life as a young fan. I was in primary school and my best mates dad, a red, informed me that they had just signed Peter Beardsley while he is giving us a lift to school. I just sat I the back seat, biting my lip and holding back the tears. We always have to sell our best players I recall thinking. But I never held a grudge about it.

After all, at least I was the only Newcastle fan at School and as opposed to being the only Man Utd fan, most lads just felt sorry for my [Poor language removed] team whereas the Manc got bullied quite a lot, and had a [Poor language removed] team.

I recall when even Tranmere were technically a better team than NUFC. However, none of this mattered to me, I was born a Toon fan and I shall die one, irrespective of success.

I kinda resigned myself to the possibility that that I would never see NUFC win anything significant back in mid early 20's.

Anyway, I digress, I will explain why some Geordies don't like you guys. It is quite simple. You lord your non-recent success over others. Statements such as "biggest team to ever get relegated (which hasn't even happened)" Is somewhat disrespectfull to others, for example N. Forest or even Man Utd last time they went down).

Some NUFC fans also consider you to be the "Mackems of Merseyside" - I won't bother to explain that further as those that get it will understand.

I do agree though that in general aside from the odd clown we are "generally nice people" as are you guys and gals.
I’ll keep it simple . Newcastle fans are the biggest bell ends who come to goodison year in year out .

Some of mutants online are arguing “Harvey Elliot got told off by the FA for handling a flare so why didn’t Richarlison get sent off”. Imbeciles.

The establishment newspapers all reporting on it as well, funny how their views align with the kopites. Absolute tories

Reading some articles over the last few days I get the impression that the football meadow fraternity are really hoping for our relegation.

I knew there lots of kopites infesting the media but this seems much more than usual almost belittling the club.

Question what have we ever done to get this much hostility?
Fairly sure they were pissed with that result yesterday.

So, they can all go and F themselves...

There's deffo been more than a whiff of negativity about us in the media after yesterday, despite us winning. It's mainly been 'fireworks this', 'flares that', 'time-wasting blah blah'. People genuinely very upset that we rocked the apple cart lol
Who gives a flying one.

Everton getting relegated would be a massive story, so the prospect is by the same token a chunky enough thing to fill column inches and idle sports media chatter.

It’s no more complicated than that, is it?

They love to hate us

We've spent 500mil, might have a new stadium for the Championship, go through a new manager every year, a crazy inept owner and shoddy board and 70 years in the top flight, there's plenty to write about and plenty to laugh at from a neutral point of view.
Oh for sure I could write chapter and verse on the board and owners mismanagement and of course it's going go be pointed out and laughed at. But when it's other clubs going through turmoil due to ownership there hasn't been this level of relish and before this when we have been in mid table or around the European places we have still be despised and or belittled by members of a very red heavy media... Then there are the Geordies and others absolutely desperate for us to go down, it's a ridiculous level of pettiness never given an arse whether Newcastle stays up or goes down.
