It is a marathon not a sprint. Early signs very promising but we all got carried away last season.
Everton Twitter slagging Ancelotti off for his coffee Spurs pic now, when they all lapped it up last season.

That says it all. Last year about this same time we were all getting carried away about our record. The early signs are excellent at the moment but I want to see more before I give Benitez a passing grade.

That's my take. Last year I was naive enough to think we were invincibles in October that I begin thread about us being #1 on the table only to end up in 10 by the end of the season.

I'm very happy to see us winning this early games but we need to continue the current, and have even better, form to be successful this season.

Meh. It was a worrying preseason though. It's really good that we've started pretty well. Still feel like it was two points lost when we led twice and couldn't put it to bed.

Let's just hope this decent start grows into something better than was a very false summit last season.

It's all good, never happy witha 4-0 beating friendly or not. I missed yesterdays match, just completely forgot so a 2-0 win was a nice surprise.
