I am fed up with the constant belittling of our club and everything about it ... according to MersArse ...Before Theo signed he was spouting we were not good enough for him ...and now that he has signed he has only come for the money .......this has pretty much gone on all season in one form or another

Here's a typical range of Merson comments:

Damned with faint praise.

Yet sadly he is correct on all of the above quotes.

I think Merson has nearly always been positive and complimentary about Everton.

We are having a disastrous season , think of what we had hoped for before it began.
We can hardly criticise him for telling the truth.

Paul Merson has suggested in The Daily Star that Theo Walcott has made a mistake joining Everton from Arsenal in the January transfer window.

Why would that irritate you?

The style of football here over the past two years does not suit any non muscular, pacey player and that is an indisputable fact.

And footballers being greedy and picking one club over another based on who pays the most.....hardly a new or shocking development
