There is this. But I think its deeper than that. He was always flying our colours and its almost as if he took it personally when we appointed Allardyce. I remember him also being scathing when we sold Lukaku and didnt replace him and more recently with the handling of the Barkley affair.

Lawrenson is by far the most anti Everton pundit on the tv or radio and that takes some doing with Pigeon man Aldo and Mickey the fat tit Quinn in the mix too.
