Joining a club so you can play with your buddy is a pretty infantile reason to join a club, and to throw your toys out of the pram when you can't play with your buddy is even more so. I said yesterday that things have changed in recent years away from a team and club ethos where players are united behind a greater good and now clubs are mere vehicles to pad out the stats of superstar players.
actually at the superstar level it’s not a particularly childish reason, especially if you are going to a top contender.

you are dealing with players who have seen it all/done it all and who have effectively earned the right to call the shots.

Its unfortunate but it’s how the world works.

You'd hate the NBA

PSG are always undercooked when it comes to the nitty gritty big knockout ties in Europe, coincidentally when they got to the final it was after every team was undercooked from covid break and it was lottery one game knockout ties behind closed doors, the stars were alligned for them that season and they still bottled the final.

Messi ain't winning another CL and matching Ronaldo's five CL's.
Your posts constantly make me want to yawn. And that word is an anagram of an acronym that you are no doubt all too familiar with

Messi blubbing like a baby goin on about wanting to stay. Can someone remind me why he didnt just sign on for a massively reduced salary?
I don't blame him trying to get as much money as possible. Apparently his camp contacted PSG on Thursday (the only club that can afford his wage demands).
As you said though, if he really wanted to stay, he could have took a big hit in wages. The club has already paid him hundreds of millions.
He is moving for money which he is entitled to do but spare us the tears.

Spare me the tears. He's a multi, multi, multi millionaire. If ever a player could play for nothing if it's him, doing that in order to stay and remain a one-club man, that I think really would confirm him as the GOAT in the minds of everyone. Barca need him now more than ever, not just for his ability but for the revenue he brings in.

Ronaldo is the best.

Even if he did agree to play for free I don't think it should be allowed. Barcelona need to feel the punishment for such poor running of the club.

He's played a big part in nearly bankrupting the club. Its the same for all these top players. They think they're entitled to every penny a club earns. If he wanted to stay at Barca so badly he's surely already got enough money out of them to be set up for life.
