Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning Messy, Fred and all, hope today's a good day for everyone.

Didn't post yesterday, as it was a mad busy day. Came in here this morning and found that this thread had moved on SEVEN pages since Tuesday. It's gone from a sedate pace to...er, a purposeful stroll.

I thought what's gone on here, then when I read this post from @Gwladysover I thought it must have triggered loads of fish puns, as per the week-end, but apparently not.

Missed opportunity there people. Very disappointing.

*shakes head
Thought about it mate but decided not to take the bait. lol

They must be a really good physio for you to travel 50 miles for treatment mate.
We moved house and the way the health system is in Finland you can keep your doctor from your last place but all other services have to be the same ,so dentist physio and other stuff all have to be at the old place .
I have a Greek doctor who is second to none ,he goes out of the surgery to speak to any specialist when seeing me ,gave us his private number ,is facebook friends and even gave me advice last week when my daughter in Wigan tested positive for Covid and the hospital wouldn't let her go there .
I have been diagnosed with arthrosis in my knees and that is what they have asked me to try .

Afternoon Messy. Afternoon all.

Been for coffee this morning with the neighbour before doing my weekly shop. May do a bit more paperwork this afternoon.
So nice to have good neighbours at a time like this Fred -priceless as long as the coffee is good .
My wife takes lots of tablets on Tuesdays and can't take any dairy so we have started to drink lemon tea as a change ( memories of Turkey ) but we are struggling to get a similar tasting one to the first we tried
. Good luck with the paperwork ,I leave it to the missus.

Morning, Messy -

What a lovely little community here. Hope it's ok I popped in with my morning coffee. Been reading a few pages (probably every 10th or so, as I'm lazy). It'll be lovely here in Denver today, high around 66(f). Hope it's a good day. Off to work now.
It is until you use certain key words to do with recipes .Then you will have to deal with @Sassy Colombian ,not to be trifled with !

Happy Thursday @messymascot and other mates that come and visit regularly, and those that come sporadically too :)

It is a cold and wet day here. Unfortunately it is only going to get colder as the temperature is to drop to -2 °C the next few nights ? This Colombian really dreads the cold weather but i do like the snow so if it is going to be a cold winter I really hope we also get lots of snow ❄️

Morning to all counts and countesses .Hope all had a good sleep and are well for the day .I am making Martha Stewarts cheese and olive bread today as we have guests tomorrow but I have physio 50 miles away and some other places to visit down there ,so no time tomorrow to scratch my whatsit .
Hope you did have good sleep @messymascot and you eat well today .
Yummy, it is my daughter's favorite! She asked me just a few days ago if I would bake her one so now that you are posting about it, I am just remembering so I better get one going too. What cheese will you be using on yours?

Afternoon. I know its Morning there hope you had a good sleep.

It's been cold here as well. I have put the central heating on as it's daft being cold when I don't need to be.

The trick with snow is being snowed into your house not your work place.

That your mind can even take the horror of being snowed into your work place is utterly terrifying.

Making conversation is hard enough never mind having to share survival skills with Accounts.

Hey darling, nice to catch up with you this morning/afternoon.

It seems it is cold every where, signs winter is getting closer. Our central heating went out yesterday :( so we have the pellet stove going along with some electric heaters upstairs that for now will have to do until the part gets replace next week on the central heat.

I'm mostly working from home still so getting stuck at home with a snow storm won't be an issue as long as I have plenty of food and drinks lol

When I worked on security many years ago the thought of being stranded at work was omnipresent. Once I started working call centres with young ladies I prayed for it. Ha ha.

When my daughter was born almost 11 years ago, we had the biggest storm that I've ever witnessed in the US. Almost 13 inches of snow so we got stuck at the hospital with a newborn. The nursing staff and doctors were not allowed to leave so the whole hospital went under lock down. It was weird not able to go home or for my family members not to be able to visit but the staff at the hospital were amazing and I was so grateful to having them there assisting us. So that's my story about getting stuck at someone's workplace, just not my workplace lol
